“We found ourselves needing to stay one night unexpectedly in this area And I booked No5 Chambre d hotes on the net We didn’t arrive until after 9 pm but were greeted warmly by our hosts Paul and Nicki To say we liked everything about our stay would be an understatement The house is charming in itself set in a lovely garden But the transformation into a Chambre d hotes has been done with style,grace and an eye for detail Each room is unique,beautifully furnished and decorated Our hosts Nicki and Paul were warm welcoming and gracious Just lovely people! The breakfast was fresh plentiful and beautifully presented I would recommend this property to anyone and would not hesitate to stay again The garden and entertainment area are fabulous with a lovely mezzanine above We sincerely hope Paul and Nicki continue to go from strength to strength ”

“Great welcome from Niki and Paul. The kids were delighted to play in the huge garden and feed the animals. We stayed in a large family room (two double beds). Be careful, there is a staircase, so rather for children of 8 years or older.”
What a wonderful find! We stayed with Nicki and Paul for 5 nights and had an amazing time! Nicki and Paul are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Everything about our stay was top notch; from our spacious room on the top floor, the home cooked meals and breakfasts (Nicki is an excellent cook) and the beautiful grounds. We left feeling more like friends rather than guests! Thank you for opening up your home and giving us the benefit of your experiences of living in France. We will be back !

The hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful and we spent a lovely evening chatting. The room was huge, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The grounds/gardens were extensive with plenty of areas to relax. Would have taken the dogs home if we could too.

Surely one of the best experiences I have had over many holidays in France. The owners, Nicky and Paul made me feel very welcome in their very lovely house and garden. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the very large guest room was tastefully decorated, and equipped for making tea and coffee. The wifi was excellent, as was breakfast.

Outstanding and felt like staying with friends.
Absolutely amazing stay with fantastic couple. made us all feel very welcome and helped massively with our own house with advice and friendly conversation. beautiful home and the dogs were our sons best friend as they played endlessly in the massive grounds and he was gutted to leave them. by the time we left we felt we had known them for years and sad to leave and def back in a few months for a further visit sorting our own house and sure we will continue to call and advise others to as well.
Cannot say anything bad as it was very well furnished and Nicki and Paul couldn’t do enough for us and even made us a Sunday meal around a fickle diet requirement just because they knew we would be there late and everything else closed. great to combine lovely people with a lovely setting and superb place to stay

relaxing and totally stunning
The hosts were absolutely brilliant and could not do enough to help you both before and post arrival. the house is totally stunning and they have clearly worked very hard to make it truly fantastic. the room is beautiful and really is a treat. the food as we booked an evening meal was as good as any restaurant and we loved the white wine included. Breakfast was a treat and set us up for the day. we could have spent a few nights here relaxing and exploring the area more. it’s not a case of if we will be back but when. thanks to Nicki and Paul for a great stop over and f our e being so attentive.

Very warm and cheerful welcome. Spacious and tastefully decorated room as well as the common areas. SDB with bath and shower very nice. Generous and good meal and breakfast.
We found this gem of a chamber d’hote whilst travelling between Calais and the Dordogne during the first week of September located just off the N10 at Tuzie near Ruffec.
No booking was made but the warm welcome we received from Nicki and Paul from the moment we arrived at the gate was wonderful. The accommodation was charming and Nicki was able to offer us a lovely evening meal eaten in their beautiful garden because being a Monday few, if any, local restaurants would have been open. This was followed the next morning by a superb french-style breakfast using predominantly local products and home made jams.
We will certainly be stopping here again on our way south. Nicki and Paul have worked wonders in the short time they have been in Tuzie and we wish them every success in the future.
What a fabulous place to stay, absolutely gorgeous home set in stunning gardens in a very lovely village. We stayed in the huge top floor 'Grande Granier', the decor was beautifully done, two very comfortable double beds, well equipped bathroom and lovely chill out area with large couch. Great views across the village over to the Mairie's house and beyond. Nicki and Paul were fabulous hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money too ! We will return as soon as we can. Thankyou for a fabulous stay x
